Marshall: Hey.
Lily: I'm exhausted. It was finger painting day at school and a five year old boy got to second base with me.

Lily: Wow, you are cooking?
Marshall: Yes, I am.
Lily: Are you sure that's a good idea? after last time you looked really creepy without eyebrows.
그게 좋은생각인거 확실해? 지난 번(after last time: 지난 번 이후로)에 너 눈썹 없어져서 정말섬뜩해(creepy: 섬뜩하게이상한,오싹한) 보였잖아.

Marshall: I can handle this. I think you'll find I'm full of surprises tonight.
충분히 할수 있어. 내가볼땐 니가 오늘밤 내가 서프라이즈로 가득찼다는 것을 알게 될거야.
Lily: So there's more surprises? Just like what?
서프라이즈가 더있다고?뭔데? (for example 예를들면?)
Ted: Marshall was in a second year of law school. So he was pretty good at thinking on his feet.
마샬은 법대 2학년 학생이었어. 그래서 그는 순간적 판단에 매우 능했지.(think on one's feet: 순간적으로 판단하다)

Lily: No, you are too old to be scared to open a bottle of champagne.

Marshall: I'm not scared.

Lily: Then, open it.
그럼 열어.
Marshall: Fine. Please open it.
좋아.. 그냥 열어주라..
Lily: You are unbelievable, Marshall.
마샬 너 정말 믿을수가없다.
Ted: There are two big questions a man has to ask in life. One, you plan out for months, the other just slips out when you are half-drunk at some bar.
남자가 살면서 해야할 두가지 중요한 질문이 있지. 하나는 몇 달동안 계획한거고, 하나는 어떤 바에서 니가 반쯤 취했을 때(half drunk: 반 쯤 취한) 그냥 무심코 튀어나온 거야.(slip out: (비밀이) 무심코 튀어나오다.)

Marshall: Will you marry me?

Lily: Of course, you idiot!

Yasmine: I'm sorry. Carl's my boyfriend.
미안해요. 칼이 내 남자친구에요.
Ted: 'Sup, Carl.

Marshall: I promised Ted we wouldn't do that.
나 테드한테 우리가 이러지 않을거라고 약속했는데.

Lily: Did you know there's a pop tart under your fridge?
너 냉장고 밑에 팝타르트 있는거 알았어?
pop tart: 미국 냉동 페스트리 제품.
Marshall: No, but dibs. Where's that champagne? I wanna drink a toast with my fiance.
아니, 근데 찜할게. 샴페인 어디갔냐? 나 내 약혼자랑 축배를 들고 싶다.

Ted: The plan's always been "don't even think about it until you are thirty".
그계획은 언제나 "네가 30이 될때까지 이건 생각지도 말자"였어.
Barney: Exactly. The guy doesn't even own a suit.
정확해. 저 남자는 자기정장조차도 없잖아.
Ted: Plus, Marshall's found the love of his life. Even if I was ready, which I'm not, but if I was, It's like,"OK. I'm ready. Where is she?" and there she was.
게다가, 마샬은 그의 인생의 연인을 찾았어, 혹시나 만약에 내가 준비가 됐다면, 물론 어느것도 나는 아니지만, 만약에 그렇다면. 이거같아 "그래, 나 준비됐어. 그녀는 어딨어?"
그리고 그녀가 있었다.
